MAKE EVERY MOVEMENT COUNT WITH PILATES INSPIRED WORKOUTS

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a practice that focuses on developing core strength, balance, and flexibility through intelligent and intentional movement. Pilates based programming helps participants develop postural awareness and achieve optimal musculoskeletal alignment.

Benefits of Pilates:
• Core strength and stability
• Better posture
• Longer, leaner muscles
• Improves balance and coordination
• Encourages focus and attention
• Increases body awareness
• Enhances athletic performance
• Increases muscle tone
• Promotes injury prevention
• Enhances flexibility and mobility
• Teaches breath control

At Club Loveland, we offer Pilates in a variety of formats, including free mat classes for club members and for an additional charge, members and non-members can enroll in Pilates reformer classes.

PILATES REFORMER PROGRAM

Pilates reformer classes are apparatus-based Pilates training sessions. A Pilates reformer is a versatile piece of equipment which consists of a carriage, rails, springs, hand and foot straps, and a foot bar. We incorporate props such as a sitting box, jump board, stability balls, and other accessories/props into our sequences to challenge participants at all levels of experience.

Pilates mat classes are free, so why is there an extra cost for Pilates reformer classes? Pilates reformer classes feature small class sizes and experienced instructors who offer modifications and sequences to optimize your abilities and promote increases in strength, flexibility, and balance. If getting down onto the floor in a Pilates mat class doesn’t appeal to you, try a reformer class! The reformer’s elevated design provides support when you need it, and the springs add challenge when you’re ready to take your practice to the next level. Members and non-members alike can enroll in Pilates reformer classes.

At Club Loveland, we have a dedicated Pilates studio featuring four Pilates reformers and a robust class schedule to accommodate your lifestyle needs. If our class schedule doesn’t align with your availability or you would prefer to work out with a friend or partner, we offer semi-private sessions (called duets) that you can schedule with one of our talented instructors. For specialized and personal training, you might prefer scheduling private sessions with the instructor of your choice. Check out our pricing here. Meet our team! Get more information.

PILATES MAT CLASSES

Pilates mat classes are included in your Club Loveland gym membership. Pilates mat classes feature Pilates inspired exercises to help you master Pilates techniques like neutral spine, c-curve, pelvic stability, spinal articulation, and Pilates breathwork. These classes will help you increase core strength, improve posture, and improve flexibility. Mat classes incorporate work in supine, prone, seated, standing, and side-lying positions.

If you have questions about Pilates or are uncertain which class to try first, ask one of our Pilates instructors or reach out to our team via email. We would be happy to speak with you about your fitness goals and determine the most suitable Pilates class for you. If you can’t make it to an instructor-led in-person class, consider exploring one of our Fitness on Demand Pilates classes.
